Sex and the City’s protagonist Carrie Bradshaw remains the quintessential NYC single gal, long after the series has ended. From her dating adventures, her glamourous job, fab friends, killer style, shoe collection surrounded around all masterpieces Blahnik and, of course, her ultimate rent-controlled apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Sarah Jessica Parker’s character exemplified the NYC dream. But as most true fans know, that famed apartment exterior is actually the gateway to a four-story, 4,100-square-foot townhouse on Perry Street in the West Village.

The famed SATC stoop (and the home that it gateways) was listed for $9.65 million with Sotheby International Realty. In actuality the home inside is not a single girl’s stomping ground; au contraire, it contains five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Design elements include herringbone wood floors, ornate crown molding, a grand staircase, double parlors, huge mirrors and six fireplaces with marble mantels. The property contains a garden and, in true haute fashion, is an exclusive address, with only two families having inhabited the digs since it was constructed in 1866.
