Fashion, News | March 9, 2012

The 2012 New York City Ballet’s Spring Gala will feature Rodarte’s Laura and Kate Mulleavy’s costume designs. The company announced on Wednesday that the gala, scheduled to take place on May 10, will be a tribute to France.

The designers who also created the exquisite ballet costumes for the Oscar-winning film “Black Swan” will be reuniting with Natalie Portman and her fiancé, renowned choreographer Benjamin Millepied, to create the costumes for the company’s gala.

Rodarte will also be teaming with French designer Gilles Mendel of J. Mendel, as well as Swarovski for the special event.
