Ashton Kutcher 500th Customer To Sign Up For Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic Service
It’s not a foreign concept: celebrity with a ton of cash is willing to shell out a ton of cash to do what most human beings will never get to do: travel to outer space.
Ashton Kutcher is set to go into orbit after becoming the 500th customer to sign up for Virgin’s pioneering space ship, British tycoon Richard Branson said Monday.
Branson wrote in his blog that the Virgin Galactic service is in its “final stages” of flight tests and that Kutcher is “thrilled.” Branson opened the world’s first-ever commercial spaceport in the New Mexico desert last October, saying that he had hoped to launch the first flight within 12 months.
