The Hainan Rendez-Vous Boat Show in Sanya, China will take place April 5-8 with a fleet of 130 yachts including more than ten measuring in at 40 meters or more.
Major shipyards such as Heesen Yachts, Royal Huisman, Kingship, Feadship, Sunseeker, Ferretti Group, Oceanco, Beneteau and San Lorenzo will return to Sanya for the boat show, which has been expanded by organizers since last year.
Superyachts that guests will be able to view include a 55.65m Feadship Helix, a 50m Northern Sun and a 49m Trinity Lohengrin. There is also a 33.5m superyacht designed specifically for the Chinese market. The annual four-day event draws China’s ultra high net worth individuals to the Riviera-like shores of Sanya. With long stretches of sandy beaches and year-round sunshine, Sanya is affectionately known as the “Cannes of the East.” Many of the Boat Show’s guests will be flown as VIP guests to and from the show on private jets by participating jet manufacturers.
The show is held every year in the spring and comprises a yacht show, a business jet static display, a luxury property showcase and displays of various lifestyle brands. Social networking activities are organized throughout the four-day event and the island is transformed with red carpet and non-stop festivities. The event attracts some 15,000 visitors.
