The Balvenie Calling all Miami Craftsmen for a Once-In-A-Lifetime Opportunity
Attention to all Miami craftsmen – The Balvenie Rare Craft Fellowship is granting one winner a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Scotland and expand their knowledge in craft. The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky announced the launch of the Balvenie Rare Craft Fellowship.
The winner of this honorable Fellowship will be granted $5,000 for materials and will travel to Scotland for two weeks. The trip will include a week at the legendary Balvenie distillery to learn more about the Balvenie craft behind whisky-making. They will also work with the famed David Stewart, a malt master, to select whiskies for the Balvenie “Craftsman Edition”, to launch next year.
The four runners-up will win a $2,000 stipend and have the exclusive opportunity to exhibit their work to buyers and collectors in New York in the fall at The Balvenie Whisky Den, a prime location in downtown Manhattan.
The Balvenie Rare Craft Fellowship will be carried out during the 2012 Balvenie Rare Craft Roadshow – a road trip by Balvenie Brand Ambassador Nicholas Pollacchi from March 19 to 21 in Miami. He will meet with a selection of local artisans in the running for this lifetime opportunity.
The Balvenie Single Malt Scoth Whisky is a hand-crafted, unique range of Single Malt whiskies, all made in Scotland’s Speyside region by William Grant and his sons.
