Sushi Samba to Host Extravagant Carnaval Fête

News | February 18, 2012

In celebration of Rio de Janeiro’s most extravagant celebration, Sushi Samba will host Carnaval Fête on Feb. 18. Party-goers can enjoy performances by samba dancers dressed in elaborate garb, the beats of batucada drummers and special DJs—all while watching a live stream of the celebration in Brazil.

In addition to the regular a la carte menu, guests can choose menu specials, such as the Copacabana Crispy Red Snapper, the Crab Palmito Salad and the “Quindim” Coconut Flam. If you can’t make the celebration at Sushi Samba, impress guests at home with a festive Carnaval cocktail.

Cocktail Recipe:

½ kiwi, peeled and sliced

.5 oz Domaine de Canton

.5 oz simple syrup

1.5 oz Leblon

1 scoop ice

Champagne, to top

Method: In a glass, muddle the kiwi. Then combine simple syrup, canton, leblon and ice. Shake. Top with champagne. Garnish with a raw ginger slice. Enjoy!
