San Francisco Symphony Announces Summer Lineup
Summer is just around the corner, and as expected, the San Francisco Symphony has just announced its long-awaited lineup.
And a spectacular lineup it is.
Each year, Summer & The Symphony brings a fun-spirited and unique way for concert goers to take in the summer. The series features a diverse roster of summer concerts for everyone – from classical music lovers, to pop fans, cinephiles and families – which include the world premiere of Pixar in Concert, appearances from Natalie Merchant, the acrobats and circus performers of Cirque Musica and Michael Feinstein. They include:
- Natalie Merchant with the San Francisco Symphony, June 18
- San Francisco Symphony Fourth of July Concert, Celebration and Fireworks , July 4
- Cirque Musica with the San Francisco Symphony, July 6
- Free San Francisco Symphony Outdoor Concert at Stern Grove, July 8
- Michael Feinstein and his Big Band, July 15
- Tiempo Libre with the San Francisco Symphony, July 21
- Free San Francisco Symphony Outdoor Concert with Tiempo Libre in Dolores Park, July 22
- The Wizard of Oz with the San Francisco Symphony, July 26 & 27
- Pixar in Concert World Premiere, July 28 & 29
- Classical Mystery Tour: The Music of the Beatles with the San Francisco Symphony, August 2 & 3
Tickets range from $15-$90, and can be purchased at sfsymphony.org, 415-864-6000, or the Davies Symphony Hall Box Office on Grove Street between Van Ness Avenue and Franklin Street in San Francisco.
