It’s About That Time: Gucci Unveils I-Gucci Grammy Museum Timepiece

News | February 1, 2012

Aside from eons of holding one of the top spots in terms of luxury fashion houses are concerned, Gucci has been able to take similar reigns in the accessories, jewelry, leather goods and timepiece departments. And with arms that far reaching, it’s only fitting that the Italian staple would choose to give back from time to time.

Well, it’s about that time.

Gucci Unveils I-Gucci Grammy Museum timepiece, the newest model in the I-Gucci Grammy watch and jewelry collection as designed by house creative director, Frida Giannini. “Proceeds from the sale of this watch will benefit the preservation and restoration program of music milestones developed in partnership with the Grammy Museum,” released Gucci in a statement explaining the partnership

Weighing in at an XL 49mm, this wristwatch explores technological elements marrying the history of the house with the modern relevance that it continues to deliver today. Both digital and dual time-zone displays, dual chronograph movement, sports settings including a sailing option for timing regattas, all complement this piece, along with a nifty back light, all the better to see it with.

To top it off, there are two extra special features setting this piece aside from the rest: A Grammy Museum Gucci Limited Edition-inscribed bezel, and polished PVD case donning the Grammy Museum logo.
