Haute Event: Veuve Clicquot Winter Celebration at The Standrd Hotel

On Wednesday, January 25th, Veuve Clicquot held their annual celebration of winter, Clicquot in the Snow, with The Standard, New York for A Midwinter Night’s Skate Party.  Guests were able to ice skate in luxury with endless champagne, small bites, spiked hot chocolate and more.

Every guest was greeted with flutes of Veuve Clicquot, ice skated to the beats by DJ Mia Moretti and mingled among an A list crowd.  John Legend’s fiancée, Chrissy Teigen, took to the ice with friends and tried to stay upright while Coco Rocha and her mother went for a spin on the ice.   The real party began when Olympic figure skaters Johnny Weir and Sasha Cohen cleared the ice to performed a choreographed set to Glee’s mashup of “Rumour Has It” and Adele’s “Someone Like You.”  Johnny Weir even wore a pair of custom made Christian Louboutin ice skates! Partygoers and pedestrians watched on as the friends and skating champs performed.

Following, guests including Pan Am’s Margot Robbie showed off her skills and took to the ice while Andre Balazs skated solo and social Amy Sacco also did a few loops around the rink. It was a night to remember!

The Veuve Clicquot continued to flow and wintry bites and cheese fondue were enjoyed by all including Lorenzo Martone, Monique Pean, Douglas Hannant & Frederick Anderson, Tony Melillo, Brian Wolk & Claude Morais and more.
