Handsome Coffee Roasters Holds Impromptu Opening Saturday

The much-adored Handsome Coffee Roasters held an impromptu opening Saturday with co-founders Chris Owens and Tyler Wells behind the bar.

They won’t usually be there, but apparently the new coffee house passed all its first inspections, prompting the announcement Friday afternoon of the surprise opening on Saturday.

Transparency lends itself to the modern design of Handsome Coffee’s interior, with a rustic aesthetic. The model resembles the open warehouse space of San Francisco’s Four Barrel Coffee, with coffee bar up front and roaster in full view at the back.

Ordering coffee is simple and non-complicated with a minimalist menu lacking the options of syrups, flavorings and sugar our society has gotten so used to in a menu that the mega-conglomerate Starbucks offers. And while we will always love Starbucks, new takes on coffee houses are always welcome and appreciated.
