Chopard, An Academy Award Good Luck Charm

Chopard, renowned Swiss based jeweler-watchmaker, seems to be the branded lucky charm for Oscar stars. For the ninth consecutive year now, an Academy Award nominee won his Oscar wearing a Chopard gem. This year it was Michel Hazanavicius, winner of the Oscar for Best Director of The Artist. He was the tenth winner to adorn a prestigious Chopard piece, a L.U.C XP Tonneau watch. Chopard is the only accessory company to play a role in this winners-streak.

It is no surprise that Chopard is a red carpet veteran. The company has been present in some of the highest esteemed venues, including BAFTA’s, Golden Globes and the Cannes Film Festival.

Past Oscar winners who wore Chopard at their spotlight moment include Hilary Swank, Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz and Colin Firth.
