The Hatfield Chefs To Open the Sycamore Kitchen in the Spring

News | January 12, 2012

Quinn and Karen Hatfield, chefs and co-owners of Los Angele Magazine’s “Best New Restaurant”, Hatfield’s, are opening up a new, casual café/restaurant called the Sycamore Kitchen. This bakery-café is expected to open in the spring of 2012 on Melrose Avenue, between 1st and 2nd streets, across from the American Rag store.

The venue will be 2,000-square-feet in space and will include an intimate courtyard patio, airy, loft-style windows and an exposed brick design.

Sycamore Kitchen will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Some pastries offered will include  delectable chocolate babka muffins, salted caramel pecan rolls, brioche fritters and French galettes. The brunch menu will offer highlights such as Benedict-griddled English Muffin, poached eggs on chorizo and Yukon has, herbed hollandaise and house-cured Tasmanian ocean trouch.
