News | January 4, 2012

It’s hard to believe that after 13 years of filling tall orders for the Biltmore Hotel’s Palm d’Or restaurant, Chef Philippe Ruiz has resigned. According to Miami News Times who originally broke the news of the chef’s departure, followed by Danielle Finnegan, a spokeswoman for the Biltmore also confirmed the story of his resignation.

“He is leaving his team in place and will help out until we get settled” Finnegan interjects.

Ruiz is well known for being a two-time James Beard nominee for Best Chef in the South, National Order of Agricultural Merit, not to mention Zagat has ranked the restaurant, Palm d’Or as first for business dining in Miami-Dade County.
