Tallest St. Regis Opens In China

News | January 10, 2012

The tallest St. Regis building in the world opened last week in Shenzhen, China last week, and the luxury hotel chain plans on further expanding globally in 2012 with three more hotels and two resorts.

The St. Regis now occupies floors 72 through 100 in the Kingkey 100 building, which is the tallest building in Shenzhen. The company aims for its newest property to play a critical role in Shenzhen’s skyline. It is comprised of 257 guest rooms and 40 suites that feature flat screens, Wi-Fi, and 300-count Egyptian cotton sheets.

But wait, there’s more. Each room comes with an iPad 2 that controls all of the amenities such as TV controls and temperature, and it connects with other parts of the hotel.

Top if off with the 28-meter infinity pool and the hotel’s trademark butler service, and guests will never want to return home.
