Scosese Honored As Critics’ Choice

Martin Scorsese and Sean Penn will receive special honors tonight at the 17th annual Critics’ Choice Awards.

Scorsese will be presented the Music+Film Critics’ Choice award, presented by Leonardo DiCaprio and Olivia Harrison, and Sean Penn will be presented the fifth annual Joel Siegel award by George Clooney. The Joel Siegal award honors the Good Morning America critic who lost his battle to cancer in 2007. It honors those who exemplify the power of celebredom to do and encourage good work for others.

Also presenting will be: Melissa McCarthy, Owen Wilson, Kirsten Dunst, Dustin Hoffman, Diane Kruger and Paul Rudd, among many others.

Bob Dylan will provide a musical tribute at the ceremony tonight at the Hollywood Palladium for the fifth year in a row. It will air live on VH1 at 8 p.m. ET.
