Paul Smith Celebrates 25 Years in the “Big Apple”

News | January 26, 2012

In true Paul Smith style, the store will celebrate 25 years in New York City with a limited edition collection. The twist? All of the pieces will feature apples, in a nod to the first U.S. store opening in the “Big Apple.”

The store at 108 Fifth Ave. features quirky characteristics consistent with the brand. The accessory counter was originally part of a British pharmacy and the “suit room” evokes vintage haberdashery stores. In addition to clothing and accessories, the store also carries a selection of period furniture and vintage books. The store exemplifies Paul Smith’s “classic with a twist” spirit.

Following that aesthetic are the limited edition pieces, created especially for the 25th anniversary. Shirts with apple prints will be available, as well as hankies and posters. A simple black leather wallet now opens to reveal a juicy green apple and the original Paul Smith City Classic watch has been reinvented with a multicolor dial and blue leather band. Here’s to another 25 years of Paul Smith in the “Big Apple.”
