New Year’s Eve in Miami

This year marked my second consecutive New Year’s in Miami. I was joined by close friends, and even my family, since my dad was asked to host the New Year’s Eve bash at the Shore Club.

I love spending time in Miami. Apart from the amazing weather, I have made some really great friends there, that manage to make me feel so much at home. This year, I spent a lot of time at the beach (of course) but also checked out Soho Beach House for dinner at the Member’s Club restaurant.

I typically never travel outside of the South Beach area when I come to Miami, but this time my friend urged me to check out the Design District, so we went over to Michael’s Genuine for lunch. I really enjoyed the Design District/Midtown neighborhoods, and picked up some great threads at Alessandra Gold (a unique Brazilian shop that just opened).

I always stay at the W SoBe, and each time I come to Miami, I absolutely have to eat at Mr. Chow. As you know, I am a vegetarian, and for me Chow’s has a great variety of menu options that suit my dietary needs.

After an intimate dinner with close friends, I rang in 2012 at the W’s poolside party where Afrojack performed. It was so much fun! I have to say, this may very well be my best New Year’s Eve to date.
