Mediterranean Fare Proves Popular In Downtown Napa Valley
Napa Valley residents are raving about the addition of a Turkish and Greek restaurant to its downtown scene.
Napa Valley residents are raving about the addition of a Turkish and Greek restaurant to its downtown scene. Tarla Mediterranean Grill (1480 First St.) was created by Yusuf and Breanna Salvatore Topal. Yusuf is a native of Turkey, so expect authentic dishes. Also, expect bang for your buck. Each dish on the dinner menu is less than $20, and the lunch specials are even more value, offering soup, salad and entree for $10 or $11. People are lining up on First Street for the plates of chicken, lamb and beef kebab, Istanbul-style stuffed mussels, spanakopita and lip-smacking musakka. Beware of the warm bread. It’s so tasty that patrons tend to fill up on it because their even tastier entrees arrive. And Tarla also serves breakfast on the weekends for those brunch-loving Napa Valley-ans.
