Fashion designing extraordinaire, Jason Wu, is in preparation of launching a brand new spring line for Target. The line will consist of women’s clothing, handbags and scarves. It seems that the collaborative transition is becoming more popular between luxury high fashioned designers and more budgeted casual clothing lines. We have seen Versace in H&M and now Wu, the noted designer of first lady Michelle Obama’s Inauguration ball gown, is ready for the collaboration as well.
Although Jason is usually busy with high fashioned designs, we may now expect the same high quality styles for less. The classy college girl who is a recent grad new to the work force will have a variety of styles to choose from at a casual price. This season’s look seems to be inspired by the women’s trends of the 1950’s and 60’s. Wu says that he was inspired by the film era of “French New Wave”. Having the opportunity to now purchase vintage fashion for less, the garment’s are all priced to be under $60 dollars. The line is to launch February 5 at the start of the new fashion season. This is sure to be a steal!
