It’s that time again, when Cupid takes out his bow and error and reminds us all of that most love-ly of holidays, Valentine’s Day. It can be a most excruciating holiday for men who fumble the ball when it comes to a gift. Blancpain comes to the rescue. The brand has created a watch for women that even the men can appreciate.

The St. – Valentin possesses a favorite and quite fun complication: a flyback chronograph, powered by Calibre F185, comprised of 308 parts and 37 jewels. It’s something men will find quite respectable. More than just a regular chronograph, the flyback is a more complex and less finicky mechanism. Rather than have to start, stop and reset the chrono function, the flyback lets you begin timing another event instantaneously without fumbling around with the buttons: just click the chrono button located at 4 o’clock and see what happens. The clear sapphire back reveals the workings, yet still retains a feminine touch with the rotor encased in mother-of-pearl to match the dial.
