Harrods Teaming Up With Renowned Chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin and Richard Corrigan

News | January 19, 2012

London’s luxury department store, Harrods, has teamed up with chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin and Richard Corrigan to open two new high-profile restaurants in the spring of this year.

The first restaurant, Galvin Demoiselle, is expected to open in March. It will be the fifth London restaurant of Chris and Jeff Galvin who are also owners of the Michelin-starred Galvin Restaurants. Galvin Demoiselle will serve French cuisine to 60 guests, including signature Galvin dishes like confit pork cheeks and tarte tatin. Also on the menu will be new creations such as a baked lobster fishcake.

Richard Corrigan is set to open the second restaurant in May, a new Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill outlet in Harrods’ Meat & Fish Hall. Corrigan’s restaurant will be taking the place of the currently occupied Harrods’ Sea Grill seafood restaurant. This seafood restaurant will include a crustacean bar and and wide variety of seafood, fish, seafood cocktails and pies.

On the new restaurant openings, director of Restaurants at Harrods Paul Goodale said, “The openings signal our long-term plans to build partnerships with the industry’s most respected chefs and to further strengthen our portfolio of 28 restaurants.”
