Pitt was honored as best actor for his work in “The Tree of Life” and “Moneyball,” which also won for best script
Meryl Streep attended, Robert DeNiro presented and Albert Brooks toasted the crowd. Jean Dujardin, the French star of “The Artist” was also in attendance and “The Artist” won best director and best film.
