Fashion Designers Support Obama’s Re-Election

Fashion, News | January 12, 2012

While New York Fashion Week looms a mere four weeks away, designers are also gearing up for another fashion-inspired initiative, Runway to Win. Created by Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, the project is a fundraising effort to support President Obama’s 2012 re-election.

Launching today, Runway to Win will sell pieces from 22 designers, including Jason Wu—designer of Michelle Obama’s famed inauguration gown—Tory Burch and Tracy Reese. The pieces—specially designed for the initiative—will include tote bags, t-shirts, wristlets and scarves. All of the proceeds will benefit the Obama Victory Fund. Fashion fanatics and Obama supporters can purchase the items on www.RunwayToWin.com.
