Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group announced today that they will open the second installment of Blue Smoke in Battery Park City on Monday, January 9th. Blue Smoke is New York’s original urban barbeque spot–featuring authentic barbeque dishes from across the country as well as an elaborate custom cocktail list.
In addition to the regular menu, the bar at Blue Smoke Battery Park City will offer a selection of new bar snacks, an extensive bourbon, beer and cocktail list, and an outpost of the Blue Smoke Bake Shop inside the new location at 255 Vesey Street (between West Street and North End Avenue).
The new location will begin with dinner service and commence lunch service later in the month. North End Grill, Danny Meyer’s joint venture with Chef Floyd Cardoz also in Battery Park City, was originally slated to open today but will also be opening next week.
Always mindful of the community, the two spots will start practice runs later this week and allow locals to stop in to sample bar snacks.
