Black Eyed Peas will.i.am Reveals His Car Company IAMAUTO

Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas recently announced that he has started his own car company, called IAMAUTO.

While visiting Jay Leno on the Tonight Show, will.i.am performed and then spoke with Jay Leno about what new and exciting things he has been doing in his life. IAMAUTO is will.i.am’s new car company, which was reportedly inspired by a willingness to create jobs in East Los Angeles, one of the poorer parts of town, and where the mega-superstar actually grew up.

After investing his own money in IAMAUTO, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am revealed the first car to come from the company. Built using OEM parts from a Chrysler, the white futuristic vehicle features an impressive Beats by Dr. Dre sound system.

“I’m a big technology freak and a geek and I invested my money in building my own vehicle ‘cause I want to bring jobs to the ghetto that I come from,” will.i.am said. “I invested in making a demo to start the Black Eyed Peas, now I want to invest to have a car company in the neighborhood where I come from.”

Information about when IAMAUTO’s first vehicle will be available, how much it will cost and how many will be offered remains unclear. One thing is for sure, Will.i.am is extremely proud of his new enterprise, saying, “It’s sick, it’s really fresh.”

Will.i.am’s solo album #willpower is scheduled for release later this year.
