Avicii’s Charitable Tour Stops at LAVO, Continues Through End of Month

DJ Avicii and his manager Ash Pournouri are personally donating $1 Million in profits from all gigs during their “House for Hunger” tour to the charity, Feeding America. The month-long tour comes to an end on January 31 in Amherst, MA. The charitable effort hit NYC in a big way this past weekend when t Avicii spun a 2 hour set at LAVO New York to benefit the charity.

The performance, at the recently lauded Haute Living “Top 5” spot, was sold out. Partygoers, such as famed restaurateur Todd English, rocked kaleidoscope LAVO sunglasses, and were enthralled by fun theatrics including oversized glittering letters spelling Avicii, go-go dancers dressed in metallic gladiator gear with flashing lights and  a Storm Trooper carrying a magnum of champagne through the crowd.

By the end of the month, the “House for Hunger” tour will visit 26 cities in 27 days, as mentioned, raising funds for Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. The charity’s mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and get the country to actively engage in the fight to end hunger.
