Amangiri Resort to Host the Ultimate Yoga Retreat

Amangiri Resort is the quintessential destination for serenity and relaxation. Amangiri, meaning “peaceful mountain,” is located on 600 acres of pristine desert in southern Utah. Winter in this canyon surrounded oasis, is a season of peace and reflection, and this setting allows for guests to reconnect with themselves as well as the natural environment. In order to celebrate this season of rejuvenation, Amangiri Resort will host yoga teacher Rocky Heron for an all-level Hatha yoga retreat this February.

Rocky Heron is a leader in the practice of Hatha yoga, who has studied under some of the world’s leading yoga masters such as Dharma Mittra, Noah Maze and Krista Cahill. Today Heron instructs retreats around the world and is a senior instructor and trainer at The Yoga Centre in San Luis Obispo, California.

The majority of the yoga workshops will be held in the resort’s Yoga Pavilion, which features bamboo floors and opens up to a nearby canyon wall. Indulge in other relaxing amenities such as the Water Pavilion, which includes steam rooms, saunas and hydrotherapy pools. Guests can also visit the fully-equipped Fitness Center or partake in one of the resort’s outdoor activities, such as horse back riding on the desert plateau, via ferrata climbing routes, or even hiking and mountain biking; all of which are ideal compliments to the daily yoga sessions.
