Haute Estates: American Horror Story Home Hits the Market for $4.5 Million
If you’re a fan of FX’s hit American Horror Story series, you may be interested in buying a piece of the set – a very large piece. The Los Angeles home featured in the show has just hit the market for $4.5 million.
American Horror Story is a show revolving around the Harmons, a family of three who relocate from Boston to Los Angeles in an attempt to reconcile past mishaps. The show includes actor Dylan McDermott as “Ben Harmon,” Connie Britton as “Vivian Harmon” and Taissa Farmiga as “Violet,” the Harmon’s teenage daughter. Once in Los Angeles, the fictional family moves into a restored mansion, which is haunted.
Located at 1120 Westchester Place in Los Angeles, the 30,000-square foot property features a 3-story main house along with a ballroom which once was used as a chapel but has since been turned into a recording studio. According to the listing, the 6-bedroom home also features Tiffany-stained glass windows, Tiffany light fixtures, Tiffany leaded-glass display cases and Tiffany glass doors throughout. There is rich wood paneling, wood floors, 6 original tile fireplaces and beamed ceilings. In the formal dining room you’ll find antique gold and silver leaf hand-painted ceilings. The property is listed by Joe Babajian.
