In less than a month ago, the former chef of Ubuntu, San Francisco chef Jeremy Fox was contemplating on a menu idea for Freddy Smalls Bar & Kitchen, in West L.A., a project from Jeff Weinstein, founder of The Counter. Well, according the restaurant’s Facebook page Freddy Smalls has opened tonight at 5:30pm in West L.A., along with former Plum chef Charlie Parker that will grace the restaurant with his culinary expertise, also, handmade cocktails from Seven Grand’s David Fleisher.

Despite the sudden debut, the restaurant plans to open Monday to Thursday, 5:30pm-1:00am and Fridays and Saturdays until 2:00am. Hopefully, the opening of Freddy Smalls Bar & Kitchen will fill the void that West L.A. has experienced for some time, due to the lack of not having such an establishment within the neighborhood.

Freddy Smalls Bar & Kitchen is located at 11520 Pico Blvd. West L.A.
