THE SCENE :: Chanel Showcases Cruise 2011/2012 Collection in SAN FRANCISCO

Super luxe fashion house Chanel showcased their Cruise 2011/2012 Collection in San Francisco this month at an event as crisp and sophisticated as Coco herself.

Chanel hosted the event in conjunction with Sloan Barnett, Juliet de Baubigny, BitaDaryabari and Vanessa Getty. The private luncheon, held at the residence of BitaDaryabari and Reza Malek in Atherton, also featured a runway show to preview the new collection.

Guests such as Derek Blasberg, Ghislaine Maxwell, Christine Suppes, Paula Carano, Barbara Brown, Vandy Boudreau, Carol Bonnie, Suzanne Levit and Jacqueline Sacks turned out en masse, getting the first look at Chanel’s newest collection.

The event took place on a gorgeous, sunny day on an equally gorgeous Asherton property. The Chanel-clad guests thumbed through the collection’s different looks in the look books while mingling in the garden, complete with lush fauna fountains and a muted nautical theme – blue and white seat cushions adorned the chairs and benches and Chanel-labeled lifesavers were festooned upon the look book covers. Champagne was served in a white tent while tiers of French macaroons perfected this très-chic event.
