Sheila Shah’s Blog: “My Week with Marylin” Film Premiere

News | November 6, 2011

I had a wonderful time at  The Weinstein Company premiere of My Week With Marilyn this evening – a centerpiece gala presentation at AFI Fest. My Week With Marilyn premiered on November, 06, 2011 at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.  The cast included Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, Kenneth Branagh, Eddie Redmayne, Emma Watson and Judi Dench.  A must see performance by Michelle Williams!

Before the film screened there was a beautiful performance by Lang Lang who is the first Chinese pianist to be engaged by the Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic and all the top American orchestras. There was a lovely private after party immediately following the screening at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
