Sheila Shah’s Blog: The Artist Film Premiere
I attended The Weinstein Company’s centerpiece gala presentation at AFI Fest of The Artist on Tuesday, November 8th at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. There was a private after party immediately following the screening at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and an even more private one at The Little Door.
“The Artist” is a fabulous movie with silent acting! I laughed, I cried just loved it! Amazing job to Jean Dujardin, Berenice Beijo and John Goodman directed by Michel Hazanavicius. The story is about Hollywood in 1927, as a silent movie star George Valentin wonders if the arrival of talking pictures will cause him to fade into oblivion, he sparks with Peppy Miller, a young dancer set for a big break. I highly recommended.
