Haute Event: The Children’s Tumor Foundation Annual Benefit Dinner With Zach Braff

News | November 9, 2011

The Children’s Tumor Foundation held their annual Benefit Dinner at the lavish Cipriani ballroom in New York City on November 2. The event was a hit with over 750 attendees from all over the country, including many of Manhattan’s finest, as well as 200 team members of the Quicken Loans Family.

The festivities were hosted by funnyman Zach Braff and included a fabulous three-course meal, both a silent and live auction, live music courtesy of the David Grausman Trio and a slew of heartwarming speeches made by some of the night’s most important men. Both Dan Gilbert, founder of the Quicken Loans Family of Companies, and Dr. Roger Packer of the Children’s National Medical Center, and the evening’s medical honoree, delivered compelling speeches that brought many of the audience members to tears.

Quicken Loans and NASCAR have also teamed up to make some very special things happen in honor of the foundation. Quicken Loans CEO Bill Emerson announced that Quicken Loans will be sponsoring #39 team and driver Ryan Newman for 9 NASCAR races and for one of his races next season, Newman’s car will be decorated with the Children’s Tumor Foundation colors and logo.
