To celebrate the Gucci Artisan Cornerthe San Francisco store transported the craftsmanship of Gucci’s Florentine leather goods factory directly to the main floor and hosted a fabulously catered cocktail party.

The fashionable cognoscenti in attendance joyfully mingled and shopped for everything on the three floors displaying Italian fine goods, from specially hand embossed monogrammed items to stunning ready-to-wear from the spectacular A/W2011 collection and coveted shoes.    The A/W 2011 collection has been an editorial hit with it’s 70’s sexy chic vibe and vivid jewel tones.   As a token of their loyalty, many of the guests in attendance wore Gucci, whether it was the iconic leather dress or signature platform pump with a twinkling interlocking gold GG on the heel.

That night, at least 4 of the Gucci artisans were working through the night, showing avid collectors how they assemble and finish some of the House’s most iconic handbags including the Bamboo, New Jackie, New Pelham and G Wave.
Many of the clients were able to witness the superb craftsmanship of the artisans hand-stitching the handles.  However, the corner with the most activity was were the artisan was hand embossing each customer’s initials during the night.

Truly a bella notte!
