Haute 100 Update: Ryan Seacrest to Debut as Film Producer with Reese Witherspoon
Hollywood’s busiest man is adding movie producer to his long list of job titles. Entertainment jack-of-all-trades Ryan Seacrest will be producing a new romantic comedy with actress Reese Witherspoon, with script from Grey’s Anatomy writer Krista Vernoff.
The film is being jointly produced through Ryan Seacrest Productions and Witherspoon’s Type A Films in association with Universal Pictures. Seacrest is already a stalwart in Universal’s television division with his producing credits for E!’s Kardashian franchise of shows and as host and managing editor of E! News.
Witherspoon is also abuzz these days with her upcoming role in This Means War, a 20th Century Fox film in which she struggles to juggle her relationships with two different CIA agents. The film also stars Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, who play the CIA agents battling it out for her affection.
