Haute 100 Update: Mark Wahlberg to Help Provide Clothing for Veterans, Women, and Children in Need

News | November 16, 2011

Actor and producer Mark Wahlberg has recently taken on the position as national spokesperson for the Jacksonville, FL-based non-profit organization Dignity U Wear.

The organization provides new clothing by way of other non-profits to veterans, women and girls in crisis, and schoolchildren at no cost. They obtain the new clothing and deliver it to those who need it, and for whom it will make a great difference.

Wahlberg’s star power will help strengthen the organization’s national presence and build awareness. In celebration of the partnership, Wahlberg will be hosting a fundraising dinner later this month in New York City, with proceeds from the event to directly benefit Dignity U Wear.

Additionally, next month, the nonprofit will be providing 300 children with brand new wardrobes during a Christmas party at the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester, MA, where Wahlberg grew up.
