News | November 18, 2011

Roots of Peace presented four Global Citizen Awards as a prelude to The Tribute Night celebration during this year’s Napa Valley Film Festival. The awards recognized outstanding global citizens who have transformed landmine-damaged earth into thriving vineyards.

Margrit Mondavi and late husband Robert Mondavi, founder of Robert Mondavi Winery, were honored for their efforts in accordance with Roots of Peace’s mission to unearth dangerous landmines in war-torn countries and build sustainable crops on the land.

The Mondavis were joined in being honored by Lt. John F. Campbell and Bank of Marin Chairman Emeritus William P. Murray Jr.

Billy Bush of Access Hollywood emceed the event, which was brimming with fine wine and food.
