Haute 100 Update: Francis Ford Coppola to Headline Illustrious WineFuture Event in Hong Kong

From Nov. 6-8, wine enthusiasts in Hong Kong will be in for a treat as the WineFuture Hong Kong event takes hold of the city at the Asia World Expo Center. Renowned filmmaker-turned-vintner Francis Ford Coppola will be headlining the event as a speaker and guest of honor.

Joining Coppola in addressing seminars include revered wine critic Robert Parker and Master of Wine Jancis Robinson. In total, over 1,500 of the world’s winemakers, Masters of Wine, technical experts, distributors, importers, buyers, journalists, and sommeliers are expected to attend the expo.

The illustrious event has made a change of its annual location from Spain to Hong Kong in light of the city’s growing reputation and popularity, and due to the wine world’s shifting focus.

Since 2008, Hong Kong has established itself as the world’s leader for fine wine sales and auctions, as well as a gateway city for the ever-growing Chinese market. The event will tap into this market with a Trade Show Area, which will be host to an astounding 200 tasting tables to showcase vintages from over 300 global wineries.
