Haute 100 Update: Eva Longoria to Star in ‘The Truth’ with Andy Garcia and Forest Whitaker
Latina superstar Eva Longoria has been cast to lead in an upcoming action thriller also starring Andy Garcia and Forest Whitaker called The Truth. The film by writer and director Damian Lee is currently filming in Ontario and the Dominican Republic.
Longoria will be acting alongside iconic actor Garcia, who plays a former CIA operative who later becomes a political talk show host. He is hired by a corporate whistleblower – played by Longoria – to expose her company’s cover-up of a horrifying South American village massacre.
The film also stars Kim Coates, Deborah Kara Unger, Kevin Durand, Devon Bostick, Lara Daans, and Steven Bauer. Gary Howsam and Bill Marks are producing the picture from Rollercoaster Entertainment and Vortex Words + Pictures, with Jeff Sackman, Garcia, and Coates sharing executive producing credits.
