Debut of Tupelo in North Beach

North Beach recently welcomed a new restaurant to the area called Tupelo. Tupelo’s kitchen is under the direction of Mark Danziger, former chef of both Chow and Fog City Diner, and so far we’ve heard good things. The menu has a Southern American focus but with a West Coast twist. Try the fried green tomato salad – the breading is perfectly crisp.

The atmosphere is also quite inviting. Both the interior and exterior are laid back, with a clean bar-like atmosphere and a friendly staff. With the fully-stocked bar and all the yummy food here, you’re likely to find everyone from businessmen to college kids to romantic couples frequenting this eatery.

Future plans for this new spot include regular live music and an opening party.
