Check out these upcoming Women In Fashion events happening in Palm Beach. Founded by Anita Gabler, Women In Fashion is a way to share the passion for style with women of South Flordia through informative luncheons featuring fashion experts.

• TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2011: “THE THRILL OF THE HUNT” at NICK & JOHNNIES

Sally Kimball, owner of Classic Collections Palm Beach, a luxury consignment boutique, shares stories about discovering fabulous fashion treasures and will discuss the inside secrets of the designer resale world. A fashion show will feature the ‘best of the best’ couture ball gowns, clothing, handbags, priceless jewelry and accessories.

• TUESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2012: “YOU’VE COME A LONG WAY BABY” at THE CHESTERFIELD HOTEL

Fashion historian, Gale Flament, traces the history of underwear from medieval times until present.The history mirrors cultural changes in society, as it rolls along, lacing us and padding us along the way. You will learn a lot of fun facts you’ve never heard before. From Henry the VIII’s padded codpiece, to Calvin Klein’s x-rated ads. A collection of what women are wearing now will be on display.

• TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2012 : “AN AFTERNOON IN PARIS” at CAFE L’EUROPE

Celine Thibault, Director CHANEL Boutiques Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, will discuss the life and fashions of the famous French designer Coco Chanel. The beginnings of the ‘little black dress’, the ‘history behind the purse’ and where the fashion house is today will come alive. Creations by this outstanding designer will be on display.

• TUESDAY, MARCH 27, 2012 : “SPRING THAT NEW LOOK”   at THE CHESTERFIELD HOTEL

Elisabeth Munder, Marketing Director Saks Fifth Avenue, Palm Beach, will present ways to update your wardrobe for spring. By mixing the old with the new you can have a fresh new look. The hottest make-up colors and haircuts will also be featured.

Based on her soon to be published book “Fashion Secrets and More,” Anita Gabler will present tips on choosing your ‘best’ color, style, tailoring, packing, caring for your clothes and more…
