Lord & Taylor Planning To Grow With Three New Stores

New York based departmennt store chain Lord & Taylor is planning to open three new stores in the coming year including an 80,000-square-foot store at Ridge Hill in Yonkers NY, a 120,000-square-foot store in Rockingham, New Hampshire and then in fall 2012, an 80,000-square-foot store at Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Florida. These additions will bring the total number of full-priced Lord & Taylor stores to 50.

The privately owned retailer is also in early talks and opening more locations during the next several years in additional states, including California. Business at Lord & Taylor, whose future had been shakey not that long ago is  now booming under the direction of CEO Brendan Hoffman, a former Neiman Marcus exec who has won praise for his hands-on management style.
