Launch of Daniel Boulud’s “Cocktails & Amuse-Bouches, For Her & For Him “
On Wednesday October 19th, Assouline celebrated the launch of Chef Daniel Boulud’s Cocktails & Amuse-Bouches, For Her & For Him at DANIEL on New York City’s Upper East Side.
Author’s Chef Boulud and mixologist Xavier Herit brought the book to life at the party giving classic cocktails and hors d’oeuvres a modern twist. Herit carefully crafted each cocktail, utilizing the ingredients from the DANIEL pantry and beautiful ice cubes that took two weeks to prepare. Cocktails included The White Cosmo, The Smokey Bandit, French 65, and The Duke, all featured in the book. Chef Boulud prepared delectable hors d’oeuvres from recipes included in both For Her & For Him. For “HER” the menu incldued Tempura Squash Blossoms , Peppered Ham and Gruyère Quiche and Panisse with Piquillo Ketchup. For “HIM” the menu included Black Olive Grissini, Squid and Chorizo and Yuzu Razor Clam Ceviche
Proceeds from the book sales that night benefited Citymeals-on-Wheels and their vital work delivering food to New York’s homebound elderly. Notables guests also included Jay McInerney, Terry Lundgren and Dana Cowin of Food & Wine
