Haute Event: Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick New York City Center Reopening Night Gala

To celebrate the reopening of the New York City Center, stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick and Brian Williams came together for a special ribbon cutting ceremony and gala Tuesday October 25th.

The reopening gala, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, kicked off a celebratory season of new and expanded programming, festivals, exhibits, a special commission, and performances by world-class dance and theater companies. The renovation, designed by Ennead Architects, has transformed the city-owned landmark building into a contemporary cultural center.

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg conducted the Encores! Orchestra in the opening number and the show was directed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshal, with music direction by Rob Berman.

Other notables in attendancee incldued Patti LuPone, Joshua Bell, Barbara Cook, Denyce Graves, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Donna Murphy, Isabella Rosselini, Norm Lewis, Laurie Tisch, Indre Vengris Rockefeller, Christopher Wheeldon, Noreen Buckfire, Maurice Dubois, Fred and Judy Wilpon.
