Haute 100 Update: Michelle Obama, Tracy Mourning, Debbie Wasserman Schultz to Hold Fundraiser in South Florida

News | October 18, 2011

First Lady Michelle Obama will be visiting South Florida on Thursday, Oct. 27 to raise money for President Obama’s re-election effort. Joining her in the cause will be U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Tracy Mourning, the wife of Miami Heat legend Alonzo Mourning.

Mourning is no stranger to rubbing elbows with Mrs. Obama. This past spring, she delivered the warm-up speech at the President’s fundraiser, of which President Obama headlined.

The event will take place at the Signature Grand in Davie, Broward County. A general admission ticket to the event costs $500. A table for 10 is priced at a $4,000 contribution with a $5,000 contribution affording a single seat and a picture with Mrs. Obama.

Top tier donations get much more. A $10,000 donation gets a VIP table for 10 and two photos while a $25,000 donation allows for a person to be a co-host, allowing access to the host receptions, two photos, and a front-row table with 10 seats.
