Haute 100 Update: Matt Damon to Make Directorial Debut with ‘The Office’ Star John Krasinski

News | October 24, 2011

Matt Damon is ready to branch out into directing! The 41-year-old actor is set to direct and star in a new drama film. He has joined up with The Office star John Krasinski, who is writing the script to the movie, which is yet unnamed.

Krasinski, who will also star in the film, reportedly came up with the initial idea for the plot and pitched it to Damon. The duo got to work on the project and had it picked up by Warner Bros.

Despite lacking a name, the movie is set to tell the story of a salesman (played by Damon) whose life is shaken upon arriving in a small town. Though the play will mainly be dramatic, it is said that there will be comedic undertones. (What else could we expect from our beloved Jim Halpert?)
