Haute 100 Update: Mark Zuckerberg Tops Fortune’s ’40 under 40’ List

News | October 23, 2011

We all know by now that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is at the top of his game. He has succeeded in passing fellow tech gurus Larry Page and Sergey Brin – the founders of Google – on the Forbes list of America’s Richest, but now the 27-year-old has also topped Fortune’s “40 Under 40” list.

The list is the second installment by Fortune in recognition of the 40 richest under the age of 40 and Zuckerberg is at the top of that list. He has once again beaten out Page and Brin (numbers 2 and 9, respectively), Google vice president Marissa Meyer (No. 11), as well as Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, who hit the list at No.9.

But the list is not comprised solely of tech names! American Idol host and entertainment mogul Ryan Seacrest made the list at No. 13, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made No. 16, and Daniel Ek of Spotify made No. 18.

Our Haute 100 list details the accomplishments of the most influential people in each of our markets. To see the entire Haute 100 San Francisco list, click here.
