Haute 100 Update: André Balazs to Bring his Magic to the Temple Court Building
Fresh off of his opening of the new rooftop biergarten in downtown L.A.’s Standard, hospitality icon André Balazs already has a new project to take on. Balazs is bringing his magic touch to the decaying Temple Court building at 5 Beekman Street downtown.
The historic 19th century building will be getting one of Balaz’s famous makeovers into a luxury hotel. He is already revered for the transformations he has made to both coasts’ Standards into the chicest and sexiest places.
Balazs plans to purchase the entire building, which features a gorgeous atrium, and make it into yet another sexy, hip, Balazs-style utopia, as he has already done in the Meatpacking District, Los Angeles, and Miami.
