Haute 100 Update: ‘Twilight’ Star Ashley Greene is the New Face of DKNY
Designer Donna Karan’s fashion label DKNY has just signed Twilight star Ashley Greene as their new brand ambassador. The actress, who is loved for her sweet, almost pixie-like look, has been entered into an exclusive year long contract with the brand.
“I’ve always loved Donna Karan’s creations,” said Greene. “To be a part of the brand’s message is incredibly exciting because it feels like such an organic fit. It’s easy to talk about how these clothes work for my lifestyle.”
That perfect partnership is felt on both sides of the deal. “Ashley embodies everything DKNY—her energy, her spirit, her eclectic personal style,” explained Donna Karan International executive Patti Cohen. “She is on the forefront of what it means to connect with a global fan base through social media, a focus that is aligned with our digital and new media initiatives.”
Greene first wore Donna Karan to the premiere of Twilight Eclipse in Berlin back in June 2010. Since then, she has attended DKNY fashion shows and radiated in a custom gown by the designer at the 2011 Met Ball. The DKNY Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign is currently shooting.
