Yas Island Water Park Debuts Emirati Theme
The highly anticipated water park set to open on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi will feature a culturally unique Emirati theme. Based on the Island’s latest attraction — ‘The Lost Pearl’, the theme follows the adventures of a young Emirati girl in search of a mystic pearl said to bring prosperity to its keeper. The story will take park-goers through more than 40 water coasters and attractions, including a unique pearl diving show demonstrating traditional Emirati heritage.
The water park lives on 15+ hectares and will be located adjacent to the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island and is slated to become an integral part of the island’s entertainment amenities. The island also features the Yas Marina Circuit, the Yas Links Golf Course and the iconic Yas Hotel.
The water park on Yas Island is set to be completed in 2012, and is expected to be one of the world’s leading water parks.
